Opening the Curtain

by Ice Cream Fantasies   Jun 2, 2009

I draw open the curtain,
And the sun bursts through the window,
Piercing my eyes on the way.
The sight of the naive children,
Laughing and shouting carelessly like the seagulls in the bay,
Made me wish I am in the kingdom of childhood again,
Where no one judges and imperfection is perfection.
Knowing the wish will never happen, I sadly draw the curtain close.
