Bouquet

by No Need For A Name   Jun 3, 2009

We walked along the boardwalk
We walked along the sand
We walked until your knees gave up
And I carried you since then

I lay you down on feathers
And breathed into your ear
I whispered you so tender
I held you so you'd hear

A slightest tremble
Of my heart
That you made stumble
That I lost at the start

I had this vision
But the moment had passed
For no good reason
It just wouldn't last
And now I'm left here, with a bouquet and a fear
Bouquet and a fear

We stopped along the boardwalk
I knelt with clammy hands
We stopped when my nerve gave up
We stopped when you changed plans

I think I misunderstand you
I've done the best I can
I think I've provided the truth
I think you've shown your true stance

I had this vision
But the moment had passed
For no good reason
It just wouldn't last
And now I'm left here, with a bouquet and a fear
Bouquet and a fear
I had desire
I had the love
I had the fire
But not enough
And now I'm left here, with a bouquet and a fear
Bouquet and a tear

You tore me up
You through me out
These flowers rot
I through them out
They turned and changed
They shaded brown
Like a word or a phrase
They turned around
They turned and died
They shaded black
Like envisioned lives
We'll never get back

I think it would be very nice for a song..I liked the simplicity in it. and as stated by the person above me, you have used lovely words..
