A Hollow Deity

by Melissa   Jun 3, 2009

I can not possibly fathom
how those green eyes idolize infirmity
with all the adoration jealousy can muster~
before it implodes,
like any disease destined to eradicate
its prey

still, I'm unafraid

for I've been tainting ink
with too many false leads
from leaden instincts,
and mind don't seem to mind a half-written alibi~
knowing full well my worship
for this self gratification
is much more destructive
than any disease
your green eyes
could shoot through me,
so ogle on
indiscreetly

Is it possible for a person to ogle without the green eye becoming aware?
