Help Me Through The Night

by Melpomene   Jun 3, 2009

I was;
awake when the sun
ceased the sky.
and we slept,
-silently-
beneath
catastrophe.

Please don't rise.

You were,
much too pretty
to lurk in shadows.
Moonshine delineated
half of his face.
-Byzantium-

Awake,
were you
when moons frayed
from sky.
Darkness was deliverance
so you sung to me
that night..

as stars exploded.

Unilluminated
I held your hand,
and somehow..
you held mine.

You helped me
through the night.

For an RTVW Challenge. Another love piece although it also has a touch of darkness to it so I have placed it here.

I love how you always include the moon, the night, the sky and the stars in your poems :)
Though the ending didn't say much to me..I loved your descriptions and the metaphors.

    Well done Meli :]
