Heart of the ocean (within your eyes)

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jun 8, 2009

If only I had a word
To describe those awing eyes
Le coeur de l'ocean is what I see
For into them i must capsize

Oh those eyes Peirce into my soul
Leaving the scar I long to keep
I would give my life to make sure
Those perfect eyes don't weep

If only that was my task to take
If only I was yours alone
If only I could feel your touch
And you were all my own

If only I would have taken that moment
If only I knew it would be our last
Now your just a distant memory
In a highly troubled past

And this is where it ends
No second chances. no reprise
I will never forget what I saw
Le coeur de l'ocean within your eyes

I liked this poem. I really liked your choice to include other languages.

Now your just a distant memory
    In a highly troubled past

is couplet that really hit home and I enjoyed it. I felt that it was something that really stuck with you.

The poem at points was sort of wishy washy, meaning it was happy, then sad, then happy, then sad in like two sentences.

I'm really liking this poem and feel it's a meaning that you should be the one who understands.

I must ask what does. "Le coeur de l'ocean" the blank of ocean, is it eyes?
