The roof that lead me hear

by Ami birch   Jun 8, 2009

The roof that lead me here

I held my head high
And tensed against the wind
Cold chills running through my spine
I looked upon the distance
And saw two lovers hand in hand
I envied their smiles
A silent tear rolled down my cheek
As they lent in for one short kiss
Although the moment was brief
The intensity hit me hard
They felt the same about each other
They longed for all eternity
The sadness turns to anger
And all i see is red
The pain stabs my heart in two
And i fear i can feel no more.
I wish you felt the same as me
Loving just no other
I wish i felt you close to me,
I wish that you were mine.
But how could that ever be?
There no room in your heart
Not for another love
Ill stand by you
All through it all
Because i cant let go
But ill always know
That your not mine
Belonging to another.
