Home Alone..

The lights were all on,
The T.V on low,
Asleep on the couch,
With no one else home.
Dreaming sweet dreams,
Of true love & happiness,
When life is perfect,
And every things best.
Little did I no,
This day that just passed,
Would soon turn to night,
That wouldn't last..

I slowly stood,
Still half asleep,
I could hear footsteps,
Beginning to creep,
I stood still,
And looked around,
No one was there,
But I could hear sound.
I tip-toed upstairs,
To my room on the end,
I thought to myself,
Maybe it was pretend.
But I hid in my blankets,
And covered my face,
The sound of the footsteps,
I tried to erase.
But the sound soon got louder,
Becoming so clear,
I wasn't alone,
I was filled with such fear.
My door slowly opened,
And a figure appeared,
Not close to familiar,
But twisted and feared.
As the creature lurked,
Nearer and nearer,
I squished in my corner,
And his face became clearer.
He was not friendly,
Nor was he nice,
His face was all twisted,
And his eyes were like ice.
He wrapped his cold fingers
Around my arm,
And I screamed,
But he didn't seem alarmed.
He covered my mouth,
And dragged me downstairs,
He fiddled in the draws,
He seemed so prepared.
I bit his hand,
He tensed, but released,
His glare so evil,
A murderous beast.
A knife was drawn,
As he laughed to himself,
His smile all crooked,
Like a demon elf,
As the knife slowly entered,
Under my ribs on my side,
Theres was nothing I could do,
So I clenched up and cried,
He turned his face,
And moved it towards mine,
I could clearly state,
Every curve and line,
He pulled the knife out,
Ran his fingers down the blade,
I sat gasping for air,
I was oh so afraid.
He left late that night,
I was dead within,
Covered in blood,
He'd had his win.
