Velvet Shoes

by blackheartslove   Jun 10, 2009

A pair of velvet shoes
Dance around the room
A ring of flowers in her hair
A spotlight from the skies
Mahogany in shade
Fix your halo
Wipe away these satin tears
A pair of wings
A pretty dress
A smile to help you
Handle the rest
Jewels that sparkle
As you walk down the aisle
A navy door
A heavy lock
Close your eyes
As it slams shut
Make a wish
On a shooting star
Blow a kiss past the alter
As the angels weep
For your heart did speak
Gently branding their mark on you
A rosy waterfall
Lacy ribbon
Black and torn
Red roses
Standing on their own
A face behind the glass
A silly purple mask
A ring of flowers in her hair
Rose petals dancing
Through the air
Butterflies
Early summer
Lazy days
Hiding out
Lying beneath a candy apple sun
Gazing out at silver stars
Whispers in the dark
Though the world may fall apart
Laughter keeps us sane
Friendship makes us strong
Trapped inside an endless night
Burning through the room
A guardian angel
Wasted memories
A bell tower tolls
A mockingbird calls
A pair of velvet shoes
Dance among the stars
