One Last Time...

by Polaroid   Jun 10, 2009

Singing reaches my ears
From the strumming of a guitar
Sometimes we find that years
Have un-willed minds of their own

As the song that is sung
Reaches a close
The music swirls around me
Holding me close

Safe once again,
No longer a bundle on the ground
Protected from the storm and rain
Raging all around

Walking can get tiresome
When you don't have a hand to hold
A whisper from the wind
Doesn't take away the cold

Swinging back and forth
As if swinging life away
Memories fade into the past
But the best ones never sway

And as the music disappears
Drifting on a silver cloud
My wayward heart breaks
One last time

That was really sad, but very well written. Great job. 5/5.
