Are Tears Enough?

by Lost and Delirious   Jun 14, 2009

If she cries herself to sleep,
will the tears be enough?

Hot tears protruding from her eyes,
they stream down her face, turning cold.

If she screams out in pain,
will it be loud enough?

The screams ear shattering,
but yet no one hears her.

If she cuts herself,
will the blood be enough?

A sharp knife on one hand
and blood flowing up to the skins surface,
then slowly dripping down to the floor.

This poem is nicely set out, last stanza knocked me as one extra line, maybe cut out the bits you dont really need and leave the last line raw, making the reader want to find your next poem for a follow up. wording is good, but id add a few more stanzas - if possible, it seems this poem is good, but it could be so much more if you have another look at it.

    Good job,
