Age of Innocence

by Bella   Jun 14, 2009

Back in the day
When we understood glee
The smallest things would excite us
Childhood, we could feel so free

With the wind at our backs
And no time like now
We could skip through the meadows
Because we still knew how

Back in the past
With pleasures galore
Jumping on a trampoline
Into the sky we'd soar

Remember the joy
We felt together
You and me
Anything could be

At the age of innocence

Swimming in the lakes
That plunged deeper then hell
We could pretend
And never have to dwell

A quick little kiss
From me to you
Rosey blush of your cheeks
And then I'd receive one too

Remember the joy
We felt together
You and me
Anything could be

At the age of innocence

That was the past
Of you and me
It didnt last
So I'm no longer so free

You left me
Here alone
With no one but my tears
And the chill of my bones

Remember the joy
We felt together
You and me
Anything could be

At the age of innocence
