Reality's Horror

by Nandiix3   Jun 15, 2009

I'm tired of trying and lying.
I'm slowly but surely, completely dying.
It's more than I can take,
And more than I really need.
Living here, makes me feel I'm on speed.
You're constantly yelling, it feels like hell.
Your yelling gets to me, can't you tell?
I'm always down here, or not here at all.
I'm as far back as I can be,
My backs to the wall.
My backs bending and breaking,
I'm biting my tongue.
Your horrific sights of what's going on here,
Makes it feel as if you've won.
There's nothing more I can do,
But run and leave this place.
But then I'd hurt the ones I love.
And they'd feel slapped in the face.
I'm tired of trying and lying.
I'm slowly but surely, completely dying.

That was really well written. I liked how you used the same sentence at the end as in the beggining; as if your trying to think this situation through, but you always end up back where you started. I can really relate to this poem. The emotions were amazing. The flow and the rhyme were good too. 6/5! (if there was one)
