Looking Through The Lover's Hue

by Indian Comma Bean   Jun 15, 2009

Everyone needs to feel this way,
This burning sensation, oh I must convey.
Emotion, oh sweet emotion, harken
These words, for this love is bright, but these skies do darken.

The monarchs take flight in the cornflower skies,
While I lie here mesmerized, lost in your eyes.
Like the clouds before the sun, you are my resort,
For this heat is too much, and our time is too short.

The robins and sparrows they whistle their tune,
While the coyotes and owls pray for the moon.
The stars in our eyes and up in the pitches
Seem to shimmer more than any mans riches.

The laughter we relinquish is oh so alive,
The thoughts in our head seem to contrive
That this song that we dance to, silent in the wild,
Is quite alive in this dream, leaving me beguiled...
