When You're Yourself

by Artemis Night   Jun 16, 2009

The color always suits her well
Though others think she came from hell
The rumors that those people tell.
Make her the only loner

So in the corner she will sit
And never whine or throw a fit
Because when reality comes to hit
Those kids will really learn

That just because she's not the norm
A barrier's what they choose to form
To keep themselves out from the storm
Of a person who's found herself

That purple shade over her eyes
That keeps the truth and give off lies
But as she sits there and she tries
She always ends up failing.

So in the corner she will stay
To sit and wait until that the day
That someone may just come her way
And try to be her friend.

Wow i really liked it. We all know a person like that. I think we can also connect to her on a personal level like we also feel like her sometimes. Good job!
