Daydreamer

My dearest darling, here it is 3am
As usual I'm sitting here trying to pull my life together
It has spun out of control like a whirlwind lately
Yet through it all, there you are
There with a kind word or gentle touch
As so often happens the moon is shining through the window
And as I gaze out at it my thoughts drift away
Drifting slowly to another world
Full of things I can only dream of doing
Strolls on the beach at sunrise
Dancing to the sounds of piano & violins
Or simply standing there holding you
as we watch the sun set on the horizon
You take my hand in yours, I take you in my arms
How I long to hold you like this forever
There may not be a word, but sometimes words get in the way
As I pull you closer I hear the song in your heart
You look into my eyes and feel the beating of my heart
Pounding out its own rhythm & song
We dance to the music we share within our souls
As we part I give you a single red rose to remind you
For in the morning I will return to my world, and you to yours
And all that will remain is the memory of a beautiful dream
Unattainable- yet so close
Though we may be worlds apart, you will live on in my heart
As I go about my day I need not wonder where you are
For with every beat of my heart I can feel you there
And as a gentle breeze passes by I feel your touch
And once again hear the song in your heart
And as the memory fades I hear your kind soft words echo
For there you are, at the center of my thoughts
The core of all my hopes and dreams
Let the world spin-
Let it revolve around the love we hold for each other

    Charles.
This was a very good poem which carries lots of raw emotions and spontaneous feelings.
It felt really smooth and captivating in many places.

One suggestion: do not put '&' .. they are annoying :)

    That's all.
    great piece.
