Illusions of the heart and mind

This world is nothing but deception

built on lie after lie

we cannot accept the harsh truth

so we believe in the comfortable lies

we close our blinds on reality

we change to fit our false pretenses

we hide behind our masks

so not to reveal the truth about ourselves

we rather believe in illusions

we cannot face whats true and real

for that is far too much for us
