What's said

by ChrisT   Jun 18, 2009

Tear it from my chest he said
To be rid of all that is dead
Sounds morbid to you
But the need is so true

He's lost all he's known
The love where pain has grown
The heart now so empty
And the knife bleeds contently

On the floor
Stains of red to his door
Across the street
Where the lonely meet
His only heart broken
By the words she's spoken

Where's the light
To guide my flight
He so loudly cries
Till the plea shows in his eyes

And like the thundering seas
He drops to his knees
With a surrender
That no one could render
Rolling white caps
Even the strong collapse
Stunned by the dark skies
Deaf from soundless cries
And the heart he has spilled
Will no longer be filled
With the pain of his dread
What else could he have said?
But "I'm sorry in every way
Till my final day."

A very sad poem..simply written but with so much emotions..
    I enjoyed reading it.
I loved the word choice of ur last stanza the most

    And like the thundering seas
    He drops to his knees
    With a surrender
    That no one could render
    Rolling white caps
    Even the strong collapse
    Stunned by the dark skies
    Deaf from soundless cries
And the heart he has spilled
    Will no longer be filled
With the pain of his dread
What else could he have said?
But "I'm sorry in every way
    Till my final day."

    found it pretty pretty touchy.
