Comments : Worthless Poets

    This was a great write, that put forth imagery of a poet indepth, great work. I really don't have a lot to critique on this, so I will just do as you asked me to do, the punctuation...

    ``````````
    Some say poets are a dime a dozen
    because they let their minds go free.
    Many poets write what they feel,
    others may write what they see.
    A picture is worth a thousand words,
    so what is a single word worth?
    Would not the sun, yet shine,
    if no creature lived on earth?
    If for every dozen words written
    no one would pay a dime,
    I believe that our pens would still
    bleed with endless rhythm and rhyme.
    After all is said and done...
    relying on love without fail
    we may learn to live as one,
    but the devil is in the detail.
    Worthy poets and a worthy soul
    may only exist in the arts;
    Beauty created to extol
    and glorify worthy hearts.
    ``````````

    Overall a well written piece of poetry, keep up the excellent work my friend.

    Peace, Joe

    I think this is an excellent piece.
    it left an impression on me and not many poems can do that.

    If for every dozen words written
    no one would pay a dime,
    I believe that our pens would still
    bleed with endless rhythm and rhyme.

    i think that was the best part
    because most of us don't write to get paid we wright for the love of wrighting.

    i truly enjoyed this poem

    "Some say poets are a dime a dozen

    `I loved how your beginning was a quote.. unique way of starting a poem.

    "A picture is worth a thousand words,
    so what is a single word worth?"
    `I love your question, it makes the reader think what exactly our words in poetry mean.

    "I believe that our pens would still
    bleed with endless rhythm and rhyme."
    `I didnt really like bleed.. maybe use flow cause that ties in with rhythm and rhyme..but then again flow may not be the word appropriate for this line.. but just a suggestion.

    Beautiful ending.. great work.

    Oh wow, a really nice surprise here!

    "If for every dozen words written
    no one would pay a dime,
    I believe that our pens would still
    bleed with endless rhythm and rhyme."
    `I adored this stanza, you're really putting a great point across. If you never got a cent for writing, like a lot of poets, you still write because its seeping from us, its what we need to do.
    You worded it perfectly!

    The poem in itself was simple, to the point and strong-
    yet the ending really glistened in a way poetry should. Which I thought fitted so well for a poem about poets and poetry.

    Good work. (:

    Job well done. Though it seems a little childish. Nice rhyme scheme though.

    Wow, you worte this out really well! i love how you made the reader think about us poets behind the poems. and i loved it when you said
    "A picture is worth a thousand words,
    so what is a single word worth?"

    it is so true, i never would have thought of it like that until now..

    I don' t know what you are trying to prove are you a poet or a I.T expert you are very shallow in the words you use and there is no meaning or substance to this poem only a type of blandness.
