Gods Perfected Art

by David Marshall   Jun 19, 2009

I can't wait to feel her lips again,
to feel loved with every kiss.
I can't wait to feel what I felt then,
the nights I dreamed about; nights I miss.

I want to see Gods perfected art,
the girl who gives me a reason to breathe.
The girl who fills the holes in my heart,
the girl who shatters my doubts into belief.

I can stare at the end of life and not be afraid.
I can stare into her beautiful eyes and know its OK.
I can walk the world as long as I hold her hand.
I can live any life with her; I don't need a plan.
It doesn't even matter if we're separated by heaven and hell.
I would fight through the powers; and yes anything else.

I can't say I love her,
because I feel the feeling is much stronger.
I don't want to be with her forever,
because I want to be with her even longer.

I swear she's Gods perfected art,
no frame can be beautiful enough to protect her.
I swear no one else could make room in my heart,
She's my everything and nothing else in the world could make me happier.

When I read this, I began to think about a painting, but the words and the imagery definitely painted me a picture of true love. You really care for this person and it shows a great deal.
