Nice to see you experiementing with a form here, great work I didnt think there was anything wrong with this, I thought you wrote it very well, one of my favorite lines was "Blood drenches the streets of the world, " - loved your word choice with drenches, really adds plenty of meaning as to how much blood there truly is. Awesome flow and rhyme and great job using your title perfectly. Thats all I have to say for this one, great work.

    Silvia,

Throughout the ages the name of our Father has been abused to kill the innocent and to make them suffer, it is not something new imo.
God is love and therefore any deed involving physical/ mental abuse could never be done in His name....to use His name to justify the atrocities commited in this world to this day is the worst form of sacrilege and a clear sign of how the ( religious) leaders of this world see us: gullible sheep.

Blood drenches the streets of the world,
an enormous hatred has been unfurled.

    ^^^
This reminds me of the many images of Congo, Algeria and...sad to say the list is endless:/

Right now a politician in my country is trying to start an uproar against the muslim community that lives here. Maybe you heard of him, his name is Geert Wilders, an extreme right wing politician and well on his way to have the largest political party. I dread the day he will become prime minister.

Good job on this, it will make people think ( I hope!)

    *hugs*

Evil lives in this world today, in the guise of religious belief,
that if you do not agree with our way, we will cause you grief.

This is so true! People use religion now to
destroy lives. I like the way you opened the
    poem..good write!

No truer words could be spoken or written. If everyone set aside the religious differences then the world would be alot more peaceful. Great write as always.

    Take Care,

    Beautifully penned Sylvia :)
//Hear our words, the killing must cease,
for in our strength there will be peace. //

^^ if only people will relaise this before its too late

How true are these words, if only others could see what is happening to this world. Religion and it's wars are the most bloody of all time. Even in most cases we share the same belief just in a different translation.
    Very Impressive poem
