SONGBIRD

by Jubb Jubb   Jun 22, 2009

She signs her sweet song.
she can mimic the gods.
men watching are speechless.
stuck in a fog.

these men will corrupt her.
shes blind to their sin.
she is bathing in evil.
soaked deep in her skin.

feathers of black.
displaced as a tumor.
she no longer sings,
only spreads rumors.

the humans embrace her.
shes one of them now.
they have turned the innocent
without knowing how.

THE SONGBIRD SINGS QUICK
CORRUPTED AND YOUNG
IRONICALLY SPEAKING
SHE CHOKES ON HER TONGUE.
