Remember the long speeches
That you never really wanted to hear
And remember the little things
That people decided to jam in your ears
Remember the things that you never understood
Why people were saying these things
Saying things that you never could

Remember the times you broke down
Just let the tears fall
And how you let your guard down
With all your time you spent building a wall
Just to see who would climb over
And to see who would fall

Remember the friends you stopped talking to
All the times they couldn't understand you
Remember the fights that went on forever
Remember the times you said we'd always be together

For some reason its hard to look back
Back to great memories
Back to good laughs
Because right now things seem too hard
You cant push on
You cant go far
You spent all that time building that wall
But really anyone who had climbed over
You'd make sure they'd fall

So always remember what kept you going on
What kept you moving
What kept you strong
Always remember the life you had
Just try to think about why things went bad

The poem started off strong and then tapered towards the ending. I think in the first few stanzas the images provided in the wording allowed the reader to see what you wanted them too. However the repetition of words began to detract from the poem. There was strong emotion that helped carry this portion but there still felt like something was missing. I believe that the middle portions of the poem not wavered in strength then the ending might not have ended in such an abrupt manner. Though the poem was good, I would suggest some revision and see if you can make the rest of the poem have the same impact as the first two stanzas. 4/5.
