I had a slight feeling
this would be how it ends,
we're a normal cliché,
as you'd call it, "just friends"

I asked all the questions
and received your replies.
Not what I expected,
but at least they weren't lies.

it hurt more that way.
the more painful it is,

who once were so strong.

until something goes wrong.

which is precisely what happened,
i turned left, you went right.
you said there was nothing here,
that could be within sight.

but deep down, i know..
there's a spark left to see.
its still got its glow..
and it's not going to leave.

who swore never to go?

who said we were more than a show?

who begged me not to depart?
