Jack In The Box Of Love

by Yazdan   Jun 29, 2009

A child eager for play
Sits on the floor with a colorful box
As he turns the handle, a melody plays
And giggles erupt from the child
The child keeps turning
And laughing with joy
As the handle keeps spinning
And the box keeps singing
But the box never stops
To reveal its surprise
And child stops laughing
And frowns at his box
To spin and to spin
And to see no avail
From the colorful box
Which sang to the child
Brings tears to his eyes
And screams to our ears
He keeps turning and turning
The handle like mad
But the box just keeps singing
And the clown stays inside
We tell him to stop
To save him the tears
But only the clown could save him
And bring laughter again
The child keeps spinning
For hours and days
For weeks and for months
Until two years are up
Spinning the box which sang and sang
He spun it again to see his joy
Then finally it popped
And to our own amazement
The child was happy
And never cried again

I like it, I like the ending more, and the significance, maybe one day you too will have your clown pop.
