Please understand...

by Not Enough   Jun 29, 2009

I know you've always cared for me
And you don't think anybody else could
I've tried to tell you there's someone else
You didn't listen but I think you should

I loved you so much at the beginning
But our love is simply fading apart
Please understand that I'm truly sorry
But you're no longer in my heart

I always told you that I loved you
I can't say it anymore 'cause I don't
Someday you can try to understand
But right now I know that you won't

You're the one that made me leave
I'm not the only one that left you
Don't tell me that this is my entire fault
You have to take the blame for it too

I just can't keep on making up lies
For things that you don't say or do
And I can't keep on telling people
How much I'm in love with you

*I can really relate to what you were saying here. I know what it's like to love someone and have them not understand what that love does to you. Love is a very stong and complicated emotion. But in your poem you express your love and pain so clearly. The flow was simple and helped make this a heartbreaking poem. Very nice work here. Nik*

Hey, this is another really good poem. The flow did seem off in some places, and in the second line, second stanza, 'away' would probably be better then 'apart', but thats just what i think... =] Overall, a neat poem, with a neat message, put across whilst keeping the readers attention till the end....i'm sure many can relate...keep writing...take care...MEZi x
