The Childs of Our World

by Dustin Cole   Jun 30, 2009

As they grasp the troubles of their life
On sunny days
Looking out the window
Upon the world seeing how far
Their lives can take them

But as their pulse continues to beat
And their blood coarses in their veins
So many dangerous subtances
Like alcohol and drugs
Trying to always take control

Violence and gangs
Take so many of their lives
Suicide seems the only way
Taken from us
By the way of their own hands

Thus you get such a problem today
Crime and corruption
Struggling to make it by
As this community
Has ripped away their dreams and goals

They are the troubled
The childs of our world
