The Best Sleep Of My Life.

by JessieGilroy   Jul 2, 2009

Last night I had,
the best sleep of my life.
I layed my head down,
after I dug with that knife.
Slit my wrists,
and blood spilled to the floor.
It flowed out crimson red,
I watched it pour.
He rushed in, too late.
Face blurred.
The finale came to an end.
Head stirred.
Sirens were next,
those I didn't hear.
They knew it coming,
it was something they had to fear.
I wonder if my note was found?
I left it on the deck.
it's my favorite place to be,
when I feel like I could wreck.
It explains it's not their fault,
"I love you more than the world,
Mommy just can't gain control. "
I wrote as my life twirled.
Last night I had,
the best sleep of my life.
I was a mother of three,
and i use to be his wife.

Hmm, not so positive but I could feel the pain of the narrator as went further reading. The sequence of the story was well organized thus ended the poem with a power blow. Keep writing!
