Deceived

by Ray Blue   Jul 4, 2009

I don't need your apologies,
There's no reason
To heal the tear in the seam,
Take this cyclone
In my mind as it riveting away

Love, you took all for granted,
Now I'm drowning myself
And you tainted my soul,
While you close the door
Pretending you never heard me called

Burning trees, like memories
And the carved words you promised
These broken wings slumbered deepest,
Restore please this miracles

I no longer believe in your oracles,
There's no reason
To reconcile these shattered hearts,
Take this fabricated rose
In my void suspended animation

Burning those lies, I'm not-
I'm not so essentially bulletproof
To fight the lies, taste the cold embrace,
Blending and bending the truth
Countless days I laid in this wasteland,

So deceived.

What a very sad poem :(

    You took all for granted,
    Now I'm drowning myself
    And you tainted my soul,
    While you close the door
Pretending you never heard me called

It is very painful when the one you love pretends not to hear or notice you. Great imagery in this piece.

    Just burning puppet trees,
And the carved words you promised
    These broken wings slumbered deepest,
    Demolished miracle

This stanza is so very sad. Wings broken from love don't soar.

I no longer believe in your oracles,
    There's no reason
    To reconcile these shattered hearts,
    Take this fabricated rose
    In my void suspended animation

I get from your words here that the love being given was a false love full of lies and deciet. Very heart wrenching
    Great job!
