Freedom

by silvershoes   Jul 4, 2009

I bear no burden but of clothes
Restricting a flexibility of limbs
I have abandoned values of paper
Except that richness written upon
The wind is my refreshment
Rain cleanses and brings new gifts
Cool water that drips, sparingly
The cream of God, and bread
My lips tender to these pleasures
The sweet, soft solidity dissolves
My pallet contented, then the
Great green carpet that is my home
Lush and wet, its fingertips lick
Endless blue walls provide a freedom
And my feet, such wonders, they carry
The stars, they are beauteous friends
That wink and smile in night's face
Sun, moon, my mother and father
Bearing me from one day to a next
A journey waits at each new dawn
To survive, to breathe, to persevere
And rest in peace while pondering
I laugh at simplicities, at art in work
For there can be no happiness when
You want more than you really need
To eat, to love, to sleep, to laugh
To drink in the fruits of air and earth
I cannot bring myself to return
To how things were not long ago

    Hey janey jane,

top work, I really liked seeing the flow of thoughts from one thing to another and all the connections you made.

I think these lines needs some slight altering

    My pallet contented, then the
Great green carpet that is my home

Maybe lose the " then the" from the first line and just put a " the" on the second..maybe.

Nice write, really got me thinking of perfect mornings where you find yourselve just..naturally happy and reflective.

Love how you ended with the start.

    Nice.
