Suppose to be the best days
But yet they seem the worst
Reaching for a new high
Trying to succeed the burst
Parents always screaming
Never know what to do
So we experiment with drugs
Trying anything that's new
Shouldn't we be happy
And not want to be alone
But instead we just want friends
Or to be on the phone
Do they never stop to wonder
Why we ask to leave
if they'd listen once
They could see we grieve
I don't see how they can abandon
The youth of today
And expect us to do right
And find our own way
Tomorrows never coming
If we are not raised
We should be supported
And some times praised
We hear more negative
Then we hear good
Always being yelled at
Never understood
Parents need to wake up
Stop blaiming us for it all
For if we were to fall today
Who could we call
You're too busy to listen
To the ones you're to care for
So maybe try to stop and think
Before you walk out the door
Never know these days
It could our last
For we were not taught right
In our betrayed past
