My Lost Love.

by Cate Rock   Jul 6, 2009

My world fell apart last night,
Out by the fair ground
It fell apart under the moon's light.

Fireworks clashed over head as i stared off into space.
I looked to my right and a smile fell across me
as the light eliminated your pale white face.

You weren't mine at the moment, and i cared.
You couldn't have loved me
But my heart isn't what u spared.

If it weren't for you I'd freely love as i once did.
If it wasn't for you I'd love and play as i use to as a kid.

If it wasn't for your keeper and wasn't for two years.
If it wannest for the cops and it wasn't for our priers.
You'd be mine, I'd be yours,
and I wouldn't know happiness anymore.

You fill me with hope with those longing blue eyes,
You show me the stars on those lagging blue nights.

You lift me up when i am down...
You showed me how...

But what we had is lost...
And what i hold onto are dreams and memory's.
And all love is demolished.
But my heart now stays prime well kept and well polished.

So go on now. live well and free.
Do as you wish, you made it clear you don't need me.

The night my world fell apart at the seems is gone now,
I promise its only a lost memory.
