An Old Song

by Confined   Jul 7, 2009

Forget your lips pressed against mine
and the smile widening in time;
the hand you held so firmly,
our bodies entwined.

The words came unbidden,
and in the silence
we welcomed their solice.

Of these memories;
the best and worst,
the day you left,
so beautiful.

Sickened by saddness,
I turned my back,
never to see your face.
