Learning to love

I thought i knew, but i guess i was wrong
I'm still confused and now I'm learning to fall.
give me a break, this is something new
just give me some time, it something i have to get used to.

when you told me you liked me i knew from the start
when you told me you loved me, you caught me off guard.
i know it's been a while and we're moving a little slow
but give it a chance and soon it will grow.

i want you to be happy even if it's just for little while.

you said for always, so i had to think
would that be like a promise that no one can keep.
i gave it some thought and made up my mind
I'll take that chance because it's something to bind.

forgive my actions for my words mean a lot more
