If Only

by InfiniteChange   Jul 7, 2009

As some things just happen to pass by
I just seem to, bit by bit, happen to die

It's often that inner to outer don't match together
Incraved are the hatred and pain in your heart forever
But little do you show
Because letting others know, is only a one man's show..

As some things just happen to pass by
I just seem to, bit by bit, happen to die

People perceive you to have beauty and grace
Little do they know your own perception of your face
Do they know what's hidden behind your facade
Pain struck in your heart, fierce like a blade

I'm not beautiful, if only they'd know..
And as some things just happen to pass by
I just seem to, bit by bit, happen to die

Naming up qualities would be
Smart, gorgeous, perhaps a good listener for thee
But as I know, that all, reflects little to nothing of me
I'm not beautiful, if only they'd see..

If only they would look at the real inner me
Is it still beauty you see
Would you run, would you let me be?
Leave me in my ugliness, tell others about the ugliness you see?

I guess you will never know
As it's just my own one man's show..
Because as some things just happen to pass by
I just seem to, little by little..bit by bit, happen to die..

Good. You want people to inapt with your inner self. Just try and make your meaning clearer to the reader.
