Life's a Love Poem

by Krista   Jul 7, 2009

Optimism, filling my cup to the brim,
standing on edge, ready to spill over.
Short, sweet kisses planted upon lips,
eyes glittering in the moonlight.

I'm just a hopeless romantic, finding my way to total bliss.

Sandy blonde hair, porcelain blue eyes,
secrets conveyed deep within my soul.
Too many troubles for a girl my age,
too many harsh memories implanted within.

I've seen too much for my years.

I don't want to get hurt again by someone,
instead finding the love of my life.
Life's like a well penned love poem,
emotions and memories swaying on pale parchment.

A wonderfully written piece! Touching, and so pure. I love poems that readers can relate too, and this is one of them. You express yourself well through your work. And the title was eye catching, i had to read it. Job well done 5/5
