Ducks

by Unrequited   Jul 8, 2009

Peaceful stroll from lake to land
so close to me, could touch them by hand
so feathered in air, they swoop down to me
gentle approach, I crawl just to see
family of fowl, so warm to embrace
comfort of man inches away, faces to face
thousands of words to describe this sight
but nothing is needed to brighten this light

This was a beautiful poem on a subject that was unique and original. I find ducks to be fascinating creatures, and you have described them so well. Excellent wording, that kept me reading and captivated. 5/5 from me, this was a pleasure to read such a unsual topic. Keep writing, always and forever...

    God Bless!
