The old man and time

by Madison   Jul 9, 2009

Could you pass me a little time
its lying there just on your left
i seem to be running rather short
and all a sudden I'm out of breath
please do not waste another grain
you've spilt enough to give me a day
this precious time i must contain
for without, my life shall surely drain
alas as is sat and begged for such
the little i had has run its course
and now this little time shall pass
flowing gently back to dust and grass

Wow, this is an amazing poem. The title really caught my attention but the piece itself was remarkable. I love the feel of it, because somehow I can just picture a little scene along these lines. Thank you for writing such an excellent piece.

Its simple yet well written 5/5

Awesome! I like how you characterize time and form a personal relationship between it and yourself. bravo
