I find myself missing

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jul 10, 2009

I find myself missing...
All the little things you do.
I think back, and I long for the days
when it was your smile that got me through.

I find myself missing...
All the words you said.
Every little smile you gave me,
and all the notes I read.

I find myself missing...
The times you fell asleep against my arm.
When I held you tight, and was the one
that sheltered you from harm.

I find myself dreaming...
I was staring into your eyes.
Because it is there and there alone,
in which my sorrow dies.

I find myself longing...
For your hand to fall into mine.
For god to give me the power
to turn back the hands of time.

I find myself shaking because;
I don't have you here to keep me warm.
It is within my broken heart you left,
that these old feelings start to swarm.

I find myself kissing someone else,
and this is honestly true,
I close my eyes, and when I open them,
I keep wishing that it's you.

But you will never be mine again.
So I'm confined to wishing.
Without you, I look inside myself,
and I find myself missing.
