Talk you down

by Helene   Jul 10, 2009

So now, the rain is in your eyes,
And the wind is blowing for you,
From where I stand you're crying,
And I'm almost falling for you.
Already on my knees,
Begging you to step away,
But it hits me, and I freeze,
That you just don't wanna stay.

And I would spend my life right here,
Fighting to talk you down,
If you would only hear my pleas,
And loose that tragic frown.
But as the sun is almost set,
That you just wanted to see once more,
This is the calmest I have ever seen
in your eyes ever before.

And even though the tears is crawling
Racing down your skin,
It's like you keep preparing yourself
To let go and give in.
And as I talk about the time
We climbed that fence to bath at night,
You smile, and then I see the way,
You just don't wanna fight.

And I would spend my life right here,
Begging you not to make the run,
For every breath you disappear,
A little more into the sun,
And as the sky is perfect blue,
You look relieved that time has come,
And in your eyes I see the truth,
There never was a better one.
