What I'm meant to be

by WakingFreedom   Jul 12, 2009

Cast my soul into a living hell,
Depart in ways no one can tell.
Can't say for sure I love you not,
It's just a beaten forget me thought.
The words prevailed to telling you,
That this world is something new.
Place yourself into my own steps,
Watch me, feel me, make these attempts.
To be the person I am meant to be,
Instead the facts of a hopeless degree.
Against time I'm playing a game,
To live for the life in my own name.
No one to tell me this aint my show,
To dance with the stars in the midnight glow.
Forget the steps to a living of fame,
I am here to enjoy the blame.
Laughing at the truth I am all alone,
No body to spread my timeless tale of an abused home.
Drinking up the times of the memories I hate,
Just to ignore the reason to create,
A new beginning of my own story,
And an old ending of the blackened glory.

Really enjoyed your poem and like a lot the young ladies on this site it was full of personal emotion simply put and easy to follow because of its flow ans meter.

There was just one line I would look at again as I had to reread it several times to get the flow

To live for the life in my own name.

perhaps this life or my life?
