To realize the person you're in love with doesn't love you back is probably the worst feeling in the world. It feels like you're being stabbed in the heart and it just keeps going deeper into you. And there's nothing you can do about it. You can't just stop loving someone. If only it was that easy. And you can't change them. You can't make them feel something they don't. And you can't help the way you feel.. so what? What do you do? How do you pick up the pieces and move on? Especially when you can't picture yourself without that person.. When you believed you two were meant to be, when you thought you'd be perfect together.. How do you look on the positive side? What is the positive side? Is there even one? And if there is, it doesn't take away the negative. It's still there, drowning in your tears. So how do you break away? How do you tell yourself there's someone better? Someone who will love you back. Someone who will give you what you truly need and not make you feel like you're not good enough. How do you make yourself believe that? How do you stand back up when you just keep falling down? How do you think straight when the person is always on your mind? How do you sleep when all you do is dream about the two of you? How do you wake up when the thing you looked most forward to was talking to them and seeing them? How do you forget about the way they made you feel when they kissed you, or even just put their arms around you? How do you get rid of the memories when at one point they were the happiest times of your life, but now all they do is make you cry? How do you look at other happy couples when you no longer have that? So what do you do? How do you get over this? The only person that really knows is you. You are the only person that can truly help yourself. You have to find that strength deep inside of you. You have to tell yourself you're better than this, and that no one can push you down, even though you feel yourself falling... |
