Like A Flame

by David ODonnell   Jul 13, 2009

Like a flame thats dying thin
As the optimist gives in
A channeled thought through fears
That lives in pain for years

This weakened heart still beats
Though teased and tormented treats
Five long roads of pain
Is all the skin retains

Session hope still bare
That leaves a taste of unfair
Wondering, waiting heart
Roaming through endless art

One lonely soul begins to weep
Having never taken that leap
Bound by devotion to those that care
Drowned in emotion from those in dispare

Livid to those who dwell in my way
Revenge works its web on a scale of dismay
Ending this peril with lies and decite
With anger in mind untill all is complete
