(Does it have to be one of those days?)

One word, one look, one walk on by
your smiles speak to me all the time.
I can't deny that I'm still in love
you're the only one I'm always thinking of
but baby it's time to let you go, just let go.

(It must be one of those days.)

One cry, one sigh, one final breath
Burned - I set free your picture,
disposing the emotional wreckage.
I sat there reflecting, collecting
burnt pieces of my broken soul.

(It is one of those days.)

One life, one love, one perfect ending
endless roads to get to your destination,
endless romance by the candle lit night,
endless smiles that embrace you all the time,
now only if real life was that way...
then baby I wouldn't be here today.

This poem was absolutely beautiful.. I have never read anything quite like it. Your style is completely unique, and each sentence seems more like a caress rather than a group of words. You are an amazing writer, and I am sure the rest of your work will be something worth reading. Thank you for sharing this :)

I dont know i found this poem
    kinda sad...
didnt really understand why you picked this category to place it in...
i think i missed something when reading...
the second stanza really spoke to me
because today i finally let go
of the pictures i had in my wallet of my ex...
    it was intense...

`This was sooo sad to read; burning someone's picture as your way of letting them go.

Its never ever easy to let go of someone who youre still in love with, probably one of life's toughest struggles. I think you did a great job at this poem though, although you had a really simple title you came up with a great poem which I enjoyed reading.

    Well done.
