A divine beauty

by Jasmina   Jul 15, 2009

I never thought that I'd ever find,
A beauty so divine;
An all consuming love that travels
from my head down to my spine.

A naked eye cannot see its depth,
A sinful heart cannot feel its love,
Its presence is like a ray of hope,
Transcendent from above.

It surpasses life's greatest beauty,
It soars like an eagle in the sky,
A beauty never ending, never failing,
So pure it makes me cry.

Tears shed for the nations lost in sin,
Those who demeanor the Lord's name,
Those who fight in sin to stay alive,
Thinking that life is just a game.

The babies that are left abandoned,
The vulgarity of one's sin,
Taking the Lord's name in vain,
Satan seeking a triumphant win.

The callous words of hatred,
The coldness of one's heart,
Murders, thefts and lies,
Yet this is just the start.

What has the world come down to?
Have we really lost our ways?
Indulging in worldly pleasures,
Tempted all our days.

Yet through it all I never thought I'd find,
The beauty of God's grace,
The love that holds me as I weep,
Wipes the tears from my very face.

The one that brings light to my night,
An even greater light by day.
The love I simply know as God,
It showeth me the way.
