A Kitten Bewildered

by Stargirl   Jul 16, 2009

Walking home alone at night
With intense city lights blinding my sight
Heading towards one direction as always
Not expecting any surprising scene

But then abruptly caught my attention
A voice of a melancholy collapse
A voice of a dying new born kitten
Unaware of where his mother could be

Upon hearing his every poignant weep
I looked down
Wishing if I could only just take him home
And set him free after letting him experience adequate care

I continued walking towards the rain
Blocking myself from having sympathy to that kitten
Because I know I couldn't have time to take care of him
I just prayed that somehow someone found him
Other better than me

NOTE: "I wrote this for 3 minutes after I got home. Sorry if you think it's very random." T_T
