Life in a poem!! Love it!

So her make up is on and her smiles in place,
Her foundation and eye shadow mask her old face,
This face is a new, better than yesterday,
And if anybody asks her, she says everythings okay,
*Make up does usually cover up the hurt we are feeling. I've done this many times before. It's like painting a new face on yourself, one full of happiness but it never usually helps. And we always pretend everythings ok. Flawless and very powerful opening stanza.*
No one says they know her, she isn't the same as before,
Her mascara is a cover up; she looks so confident and sure,
But underneath the eyeliner, underneath the smirk,
Theres a small girl whose crying and screaming and hurt,
*This is exactly me a few weeks ago. I completely changed to cover up my hurting self. Wonderful imagery.*
She tries to walk away from you, once she even ran,
She tries to remake herself, to change as much as she can,
All she could say is sorry, and she loves you, thats a fact,
What else could she do when you said you don't love her back?
*Love is one thing that can completely break us or make us. We always try to change so that people like us better but make-up doesn't really help because if you don't like them without it you won't like them with it, this is what I believe. I really enjoyed this poem. Flawless and very well written, 5/5. Em*
