Unkown Reflection

by The Dark Poet   Jul 17, 2009

I look into the mirror what do you think i see
Someone with all my features but that person isn't me
That wears a smile but a frown my face bears
That person cries tears of joy but i shed unhappy tears

An Unknown reflection is portrayed in that glass
It may probably be me future but its nowhere in my past
My past is full of anguish it is not for the faint heart
Don't delve into something of which you don't want to be apart

The me that i portray is not the me i really am
To make everyone feel good around i just put on a sham
But my insides are tearing apart and i have the urge to kill
But i just put on a smile and let you think i bear no ill will

If only you really knew what was going on my mind
You would urge to befriend me and avoid the crimson tide
This tide of which i speak is a rain of blood flowing from your veins
But sadly i'm keeping that urge down trying to keep my restraint

Do you see the me i see, the me in my reflection
Or do you see the the physical being full of imperfection
Have your eyes been opened have you begun to see
Were you ever really my friend did you ever know the real me

I'll close this chapter on my life and seal it with your screams
Ive perfected my imperfections, remember things arent always what they seem...
