A Diamond Sifted from Sands of Glitter

by jescelle   Jul 17, 2009

This diamond sifted from sands of glitter,
Is created from the blood of red Crystals.
Belonging to longing,
And doomed to compression for growth.

Remembrances of rock, of dust,
Encased in nailed tombs underground.

I'm sharp, to the point that I've cut myself,
Been double-crossed by my breeding in Onyx.

In care I am taken where the sun helps them grow,
But alas, I am falling apart.
Being torn into pieces, my value distanced in glimmer.

Take the soul of this gem and place it in gold,
Mold me, make me, set worth on my shine.
Use me to prove you can love.

Alone among tear-drop Emeralds,
Speaking truth in my cries.

And this invisible, untouchable clarity is killing me.
So drop me back in a heaven that damns me to darkness,
And I hope in soft rainbow shimmers to never gleam too brightly again.

Give up on me please, for your greed is the trial,
And within this circle of God-less life lays my prison.

The toughest on Earth,
I'm left a reflection of Sun.
So beautiful, unwilling, a story untold,
Surrounded, wrapped and glued...

To a beach full of rhinestones.
