My Other Side

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Jul 19, 2009

You used to slap my face.
And you used to pull my hair.
But now, it really doesn't matter.
And I don't really care.

You wanna know why?

Because you killed something inside of me.
And you made me quickly grow.
But my revenge is going to be sweet.
So harsh, so cruel, but slow.

What can you do to me?
More than you already did?
I've been used to your cruelty.
Ever since I was a kid.

The day will come.
When you won't dare to hit this face.
I swear I'll break your hand.
And put you to disgrace.

Everything you did to me.
Will return to you one day.
"You're a devil."
Isn't that what you used to say?

Oh, you got that right.
And you don't even know what kind of a devil I can be.
Tonight, I'll show you my other side.
The one you never thought you'd see.

I could feel the need for revenge in your words. I hope it's not a true poem but it felt real and from the heart and mind of someone that is fed up.
Well written it exploded with the need for payback
