On This Rock

by NightFlyer   Jul 19, 2009

Through the verdant trails, I climb
To this mountain rock sublime
Here amidst the rustling oaks
Ancient tales, the wind evokes
Deep green worlds await me here
And the swift elusive deer
On this rock, a tranquil scene
Above the forest so serene
Quiet paths I'll slowly walk
Through the cypress and burdock
Lead me toward the setting sun
Bless this place as day is done
Soon I'll ride the waves of night
Gliding home in gold moonlight.
